J.D. Salinger: Author of “Catcher in the Rye” Dies at 91

One of the proficient and illustrious authors of this decade, J.D. Salinger is no longer with us. He was 91 years old and according to some of his family sources, Salinger’s death was due to natural causes. The death of Salinger is a heavy loss to the world of literature. Salinger had produced one of the best selling novels till today called ‘Catcher in the Rye’ in the year 1965. In addition to this novel, he had produced 2 short stories as well named as ‘Franny’ and ‘Zooey’.
After publishing these literary items, there was no other significant work produced by Salinger and he started remaining aloof from the literary world. According to Harold Ober Associates; the representative of Salinger; Salinger was leading a very obscure life away from the limelight of the media just to protect his privacy. There would be a simple and a small funeral service and only the near one would be allowed; maintaining his privacy like the way earlier. No matter his body would not for display to his fans and loved ones, but Salinger would still be deep in our memory and his literary works would continued to get appreciated from the masses.
